Dancing for St George

Holbeach Hospital residents got all patriotic in celebrating St George’s Day last week.

Residents made their own bunting and enjoyed listening to the Tale of St George’s day and discussed the story of St George and the dragon.
Some residents also decorated dragon masks to wear for the day.
They were joined by musical volunteers Eric Hubbert, and his wife Ann who accompanied him.
Eric performed a variety of music from the 50s onwards, and the residents enjoyed singing and dancing.
Chairman, Chris Penney and registered manager, Julia Scott, joined residents and their families to mark the occasion.
Activities co-ordinator Jackie commented: “The residents had the best afternoon reminiscing about the years gone by, and attending local dances.”
