Crowson believes Moulton Harrox can keep winning run going and push for the title

Moulton Harrox’s stellar form in ChromaSport PDFL Premier Division continued on Saturday as they romped to a 4-1 victory at Sawtry.

A penalty from Dan Woods and headers from central defenders Ashley Coddington and Matt Watkin gave Harrox a commanding 3-0 lead inside half an hour.

Lee Kenealy’s keeping clanger allowed Nick Finney to pull one back, but Ben Allen jumped off the bench to give Moulton a fifth league win on the spin.

That leaves them second in the table, one point behind leaders Peterborough Sports Reserves having played two games more – and assistant boss Paul Crowson insists that Moulton still believe they can win the title.

“For 65 minutes they didn’t get a sniff,” said Crowson. “We were dominant and should really have scored five or six goals.

“A keeping error gave them hope and they pushed us back for ten minutes, but overall we were full value for the win.

“The objective for us is to win every game now. We’ve got nine to go – and if we can do that, we’ll certainly go close.

“The lads are very positive. We believe we can keep this form going. All we can do is keep winning games and we’ll see where we end up.”

Moulton’s home game with Stanground Sports this Saturday is a 1pm start.
