Crews called to fire at Holbeach home

Fire crews descended on a Holbeach home last night after a chip pan fire.

The blaze destroyed a kitchen and smoke damaged the rest of a house on Station Street after being reported shortly before 9.30pm last night (Sunday).

Crews from Holbeach, Long Sutton and Spalding attended putting the blaze out using a hose reel and two breathing apparatus.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said the fire was started due to a “chip pan overheating’.
