Council procuring PPE supply

The authority that oversees adult care in Lincolnshire says it has overcome initial problems in gaining personal protection equipment (PPE) and has a stock in case of emergency.

The deputy leader and the executive councillor for adult care, health and children’s services of Lincolnshire County Council, Coun Patricia Bradwell made the announcement at a meeting of the authority’s executive on Tuesday, June 2.

Coun Bradwell said: “We had issues early on with PPE but we are now actually procuring our own PPE in the county so we have at least a week’s supply in case there is a need anywhere in the county for an emergency.”

She also said that the nursing homes the council look after were “working quite well.”

“I think all areas are very pleased with how the county council has supported them during this very difficult time.

“We do keep getting thank yous and that back as they feel that the county council has helped them a lot.”
