Compton stars in impressive victory

Holbeach United sparked a drive for the Thurlow Nunn Division North play-offs as a fine performance saw them comfortably beat Holland.
The visitors started the day in the final play-off spot, but the Tigers moved just three points behind them and four off the play off places with a solid 3-1 win on Saturday.
Kyle Compton was the spark and he gave the Tigers a first half goal.
In the second half Compton turned provider setting up Cal Davies to make it 2-0 to Holbeach and put the hosts firmly in control.
Though Oliver Dunlop pulled a goal back for Holland, the Tigers sealed the win on the counter, John Yambasu finishing off a fine move.
Next up for The Tigers on Saturday the run of home matches continues as they welcome Great Yarmouth Town to Carter’s Park in a 3pm kick off.
