Competitive at the top of the table

Spalding Cycling Club’s ten-mile league has never been so competitive at the top of the table with the top four covered by less than a minute.

Dom Brand rode his course personal best to take the night’s win with a 21:04, with Matt Chappell continuing his strong form with second place 21:40.

Third place went to Chris Ward, building his form as he always does with a 21:48, and it was Frazer Wallis to complete the battle at the top in fourth, only three seconds further back.

Great conditions on the night led to a few other personal bests.

Ever-improving Brian Daniels came home 13th with a personal best time of 23:51.

Evgeniya Brand again continued to top the ladies’ category (24:55) leading home Samantha Briffett.

Fastest in the road bike category was Neil Palmer with a 24:30 leading home Chris Peel on his vintage bike (30:16).
