Clubbing together for Valentine’s fundraiser

They normally love birdies, but lovebirds were the focus of Spalding Golf Club for a special Valentine’s themed night.

They held a fundraiser attended by 62 members and guests last Saturday organised by Elaine MacLeman.

The evening involved a three-course meal prepared by the golf club catering staff, followed by a ‘Mr and Mrs’ or partners style quiz.

The winners were Martin and Jenny Deacon, who won a spa evening donated by The Grange Spa.

Members and guests paid a small entry fee which will be split between the club charities for the year, Macmillan Cancer Support, Tonic Health and The Meadow Day Centre.
