There’s some relief for motorists around Spalding with a road that’s been closed since early August set to be re-opened by Saturday.
Anglian Water have been working to fix a collapsed sewer on Albion Road since August 8.
The closure of the road alongside other roadworks in the town has accentuated traffic issues, particularly during rush hour.
But Anglian Water say they hope the street will be open again by this weekend.
An Anglian Water spokesperson said: “The repairs to the collapsed sewer and carriageway on Albion Street, Spalding, are in the final stages of completion.
“Our teams have been working to get things back to normal, and we will have the road re-opened on Saturday September 21.
“Once again, we’re sorry for any inconvenience that may have been caused, and we’d like to thank local residents and businesses for their co-operation and patience while we have been completing the works.”
