Chosen Charity cash delight

It was a case of money in and money out for a Holbeach charity recently.

Schoolgirl Sophia Goodier completed a sponsored cross country walk around Walpole Cross Keys to raise £355.

Sophia (9), pictured right, decided to donate the money the Chosen Charity of Holbeach.

“What a wonderful achievement for a nine-and-a-half year old,” said Iris Boland, of the charity.

Meanwhile, the charity formally presented a cheque for £1,000 to help pay for waterproof hearing aids for George Hall, of West Walton.

George (5), whose great grandparents live in Pinchbeck, loves swimming but cannot hear without aids.

His story was featured in The Voice and the charity contacted George’s mum Susie to offer the donation as a result.
