Surfs up thanks to The Meadows

A charity that brings the elderly together had a gritty visitor last week which they’ve helped name.

The Meadows were among those asked to name Lincolnshire County Council’s new fleet of gritters.

Kat Roberts, who works in the kitchen and drives people to the Park Road centre, came up with the name Silver Surfer.

Therefore the authority has dubbed one of the six machines based out of Pode Hole as Silver Surf (dropping the ‘er’ due to copyright issues over the super hero with the same name).

“Everyone’s been really excited to see it since we told them the name has been picked,” Kat said.

Kat Roberts provided the name.
