Casting call for Dishonoured film

Anyone with aspirations to appear on the big screen has another chance to land themselves a leading role in a movie being made in and around Holbeach.

Auditions are due to be held for Dishonoured on May 3 after would-be actors and actresses put themselves forward for roles on the film’s Facebook page.
But Steph Genovese, of Holbeach Film Company, has announced that an open casting session will also be held on the same day, at the WI Hall in Park Road, Holbeach, from 1pm.
He said: “All of the available roles are on our website and we would definitely encourage everyone who has a passion for film to have a look to see what roles we have, and if they see one they feel they can do, to come and see us.
“We feel we need to open the gates and see everyone who thinks they can bring our characters alive – so hopefully this will encourage lots of activity and people will get involved.”
Steph, who has written the film’s script and will act and direct it, came up with the idea after his own acting career saw him regularly travelling to London and Birmingham for auditions and filming.
He said: “I decided I wanted to bring a piece of Hollywood to my own home town to give local talent the chance to get involved.”
He is also hoping the people of South Holland will get behind the project and help him raise the £2,000 he needs to make the film, and is currently appealing for someone who can help with making costumes.
