Caress eases to top 10

Adam Caress was the sole Halmer Harriers runner to finish in the top ten of Saturday’s Snowden Field Parkrun in Crowland.

He completed the 5K course in 21mins 26secs to cross the line in fifth place, second SM30-34. Richard Williams was 14th (23:18), and Rebecca Pearce 41st, (32:47) of the 53 finishers.
Deborah Preston clocked 30:54 to finish 349th at Ferry Meadows in Peterborough, while Mike O’Connor was 42nd (22:46) at Rutland Water.
Further afield, Simon Eldridge was 100th at the Watergrove Parkrun in Rochdale (50:41) and Daisy Jowett 352nd of 676 runners at the University Parks event in Oxford (28:35).
A trio of Halmer Harriers took on the Forest Rec Parkrun in Nottingham. Katherine Baxter was 302nd (36:01), one place and eight seconds ahead of Kathryn Chapman, with Jayne Pell clocking 38:27 for 329th place.
