Care home’s sponsored walk

Residents and staff of a Spalding care home took on a sponsored walk to raise money as part of MS Awareness Week.

Those at the St John’s Care Home in Hawthorn Bank took part in the fundraisetr to mark the end of the week.
They’d previously all made butterflies to wear on the route that saw them walk into the town, down by the side of the river and back up Hawthorne Bank.
A spokesman for the care home said: ” It was a wonderful sunny afternoon to raise funds for MS Society UK, a cause close to many of our residents, relatives, staff and friends of St Johns.
“We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has donated!
“We have raised an amazing amount of £272.32 for MS.
“It’s also another challenge completed for us and this time our residents got involved and thoroughly enjoyed the walk around our town.
“We finished off with a well deserved hot drink and slice of cake.”
