The St John’s Care Home summer fête was a fun-filled fundraising success last week, raising £470 for the home.
“Everyone had a lovely time,” said co-organiser Stephanie Lamont.
Bishop Robert Gillion opened the fête and joined the residents and staff choir for three songs.
The fête was held inside because of forecast thunderstorms.
Stephanie added: “We had stalls with games to play and stalls selling lots of items to buy, a barbecue, a cake stall, strawberries and cream, face painting and a singer.
“Many thanks to everyone who helped in any way to make the day a success and to all of the local businesses and friends who donated the lovely selection of raffle prizes.”
