Car burst into flames after brake failure

A car burst into flames after its brakes failed and it hit barrier last night.

Spalding Fire Crew were called to London Road in the Little London area of the town shortly before 6pm last night (Tuesday, January 9).

It’s not clear if anyone was injured in the incident.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said: “There was severe fire damage to one car which was extinguished using one hose reel and breathing apparatus.

“This was caused by the brakes failing and the car colliding with a barrier.”
