Busy period for Spalding members of Women’s Institute

Spalding’s South Holland Centre is screening the annual general meeting of the National Federation of Women’s Institutes being held at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday (June 4) from 10.30am.

Spalding’s Tollgate branch will be represented in London by treasurer Yvonne Achurch.

Meanwhile, branch president Judith McCarthy attended a WI garden party at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.

This year is the 100th anniversary of the The WI and to mark the occasion a picnic at Springfields on Friday, July 24 (12.30pm) is being organised by Tollgate branch.
Members of eight branches have been invited, including Fulney and Pode Hole.
