Bright pupils raise cash

Pupils at a Holbeach school were positively glowing when they turned up for the school’s fund-raising “bright day”.

On July 11, youngsters at William Stukeley Church of England Primary School dressed in orange to match the colour of the MAGPAS air ambulance.

They were treated to a talk by MAGPAS advocate Richard Thacker and held a raffle, drawn by opera singer Carly Paoli.

The day raised £339.70

Teacher Ruth Townsend said: “Our children have had a great day being so very bright and considering how MAGPAS support our community. We have supported MAGPAS as it’s an emergency service covering our locality and like Richard Thacker explained you never know when you might need their help.”
