Spalding Cycling Club returned to the classic Pode Hole Triangle course for this week’s club ten-mile time trial.
A favourable tail wind down The Delph greeted the field of 11 riders and times were quick.
Dom Brand returned to form this week taking home the win with a solid time of 21:33, followed closely by Matt Chappell who is chipping away at the gap to Brand, this week just eight seconds behind in second place.
Nigel Swepson rounded out the podium with a time of 23:19. This comes just a couple of weeks after doing a ten-hour Iron Man at the Outlaw Triathlon in Nottingham.
First road bike this week went to in-form Chris Cooper with a fantastic time of 23:49 which was enough for fourth overall.
In the women’s category it was back to winning ways for Evgeniya Brand taking a dominant win with a time of 25:27, leading home Samantha Briffett in second place.
Next week will see the Club Championships take place again on the Pode Hole course.
