There was a return to the popular Barrier Bank course for the once-a-year drop bar challenge at Spalding Cycling Club’s latest time trial.
Riders use standard road bikes and not their usual time trial bikes.
A few notable absences from the start sheet saw a slight change in proceedings.
Red hot favourite Kieran Buffham was absent due to injury and Frazer Wallis was also missing.
That left Dominic Brand to take home the victory with a time of 23 minutes and 29 seconds, just ahead of Matt Chappell, 23:42, with a fantastic performance to show the difference machinery can make.
Dan Warner was third, giving him his first podium finish of the season.
Evgeniya Brand won the ladies’ event impressively, coming home sixth overall in 27:34.
