Bingo as hall gets cash boost

Whaplode Village Hall is £210 better off thanks to local bingo battlers.

The hall hosts Phyllis Harris’s monthly quiz nights and a number of people attended the latest one held on Friday, April 20.

Through their donations and amid the bingo action the patrons managed to raise the £210.

Lee Morris from the hall was on hand to collect the cheque at the end of the night which goes towards the hall’s running costs.

The next bingo night will be a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Care unit at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston.

It takes place at the hall on Friday, May 18.

Eyes down is at 7pm and everyone is welcome to attend and play.
