Bike ride in memory of nephew

Cyclist Mark Necus will be riding from London to Brighton to raise money for Rethink Mental Illness.

His nephew Adam Jackson, who was well-known in the South Holland football family, took his own life in 2023.

Adam was 34 years old and left a wife and two young daughters.

His uncle Mark (66), who lives in Norwich, will take on the 55-mile ride for the fourth time and is hoping to raise £750.

He said: “Yes, it’s that time of year when I let you know that I’m taking part in the London to Brighton Bike Ride (again!).

“The ride is on Father’s Day and as in previous years I’m raising funds for Rethink Mental Illness.

“You’ve been hugely supportive in previous years, so if you can help again this year that would be superb!”
