Cyclist Mark Necus will be riding from London to Brighton to raise money for Rethink Mental Illness.
His nephew Adam Jackson, who was well-known in the South Holland football family, took his own life last year.
Adam was 34 years old and left a wife and two young daughters.
His uncle Mark, who lives in Norwich, took on the 55-mile ride last year and raised £900. This year he is aiming to hit four figures.
“I am going to do it again – one year older (but certainly no wiser) and I’m hoping to beat last year’s figure and raise £1,000,” he said.
Rethink Mental Illness aims to improve the lives of people severely affected by mental illness.
