Batmobile brings Santa to Baytree

It’s not every day that you see the Batmobile on the streets of South Holland.

And it’s even more unusual to see Santa in the passenger seat of the iconic vehicle.

But Baytree’s Winter Wonderland opened at the weekend and Father Christmas arrived in style.

Crowds of people gathered at the garden centre which is transformed for the festive season each year.

The grotto has been running for more than ten years and offers 26,000 sqft of undercover area which is popular with visitors of all ages.

The Christmas light display offers thousands of shimmering bulbs and projected images and illuminated figures along with inflatable figures and fibre-optic trees.

There are real reindeer arriving soon and the centre also hosts Beauty and the Beast at the on-site theatre from December 15 to 30; and Kirton Brass Band’s festive singalong on Wednesday, December 13 with doors opening at 6.30pm.
