Authors from Holbeach and Pinchbeck get books published

Two local authors are celebrating after having their first books published.

Holbeach man Alan Pack has written Jack’s Story, about Cocker Spaniel Jack who as a puppy couldn’t stand up.
Alan said: “The vet said I might by some miracle get him to stand, but the prognosis was not good.
“I decided if he was not going to be able to run around like a normal puppy then I would have him put to sleep.
“The next morning I couldn’t face taking him to the vet and I got a call from my dad who had spoken to a mate who used to breed dogs and said he could show me how to help Jack stand up.
“He came and showed me how to exercise his legs and now Jack is a perfectly normal dog.”

The rest of the book goes through 20 years of life with dogs, the sad times, the moments of joy and the ups and downs of dog ownership.
The book is available from Amazon.

Tom Bell, of Pinchbeck, has written Tom’s Krazy Kwerky Kwizzes.
This unique quiz book will test you with knowledge, imagination and skill.
Suitable for all ages the book is available from publisher www.austinmacauley.com
