Adam Keogh has been named as the PGA Midlands Professional of the year.
It’s the second big award for Spalding Golf Club’s popular club professional in recent months, having also landed the Lincolnshire Professional of the Year prize for 2017.
Keogh, who replaced Chris Huggins as Spalding’s club professional back in June, said: “It’s a huge honour to be named as The 2017 PGA Midlands Professional of the Year by my peers!
“Something I would never have imagined could happen when I started my PGA Training back in October 2013. Big thanks to Spalding Golf Club and PGA Lincolnshire.”
- Wayne Wallace saw off 77 other players to win Spalding Golf Club’s latest senior section Stableford last week.
Despite the recent weather, the Surfleet course is playing very well – and that was reflected in the scoring.
Wallace bagged 41 points to top the Division One standings and the overall honours, but he did edge out a number of opponents on handicap to ensure he secure the prize.
