An amazing £4,860 raised for charity at Gedney Hill Golf Club’s Daniel Markillie Memorial Day

The biggest fundraiser of the year in Gedney Hill Golf Club’s calendar took place on Sunday – and it was another huge success.

More than 135 golfers took part in the annual Daniel Markillie Memorial Day, with the sun shining and making for perfect conditions.

A great day was had by all, which started with a bacon roll and coffee and ended with a meal for all after play.

An amazing amount of £4,860 was raised, which is to be split between three charities with £1,500 going to East Anglian Air Ambulance, £1,500 to Prostate Cancer UK and £1,860 to Dementia UK.

On the course, it was Neil Shayler who was the overall winner with a score of 47 points.
