Ace Earth inspires seven-up Moulton Harrox with five goal salvo in county cup win

Moulton Harrox 7 Louth Town Reserves 0

Declan Earth helped himself to a hatful of goals as Moulton Harrox cruised into the fourth round of the Lincs FA Junior Cup with a dominant 7-0 victory over Louth Town Reserves on Saturday.

In what was a very one-sided affair at Broad Lane, frontman Earth was on red-hot form with five of the seven scored by Moulton, while Ashley Coddington and Reif Bissett-Clarke got the others.

Co-boss Bobby Patterson admitted that it was a tougher test than the scoreline suggests.

He said: “It was far from easy in the first half.

“Dalius Kisla could have been sent off and we only got ahead when Dec Earth smashed in a free-kick.

“We changed shape at half time and it really helped us control the game better – Reif came on and was very good.

“To be fair, if we’d had ten men then perhaps things would have been different against a young side with plenty of energy.

“Now we’re focusing on the next round. We’re certainly one of the favourites and I’m hopeful we can go all the way.”

Harrox are back in league action at Oakham United on Saturday (2pm).

Moulton: Taylor, Coddington, Gardner, Chappell, Machin, Kisla, Smith, Law, Townsend, Ford, Earth. Subs used: Clarke, Cash, McGuire.
