A Lightning start to Top Club term

Spalding Lightning started their mixed Top Club campaign with a comfortable win at Sleaford.

Lightning, who lost in the national final last season, were helped by their singles players with an accumulative score of 42-10. Further wins in the pairs, triples and fours saw Lightning win in all disciplines to triumph 16-0 and book their place in the second round where they will play Peterborough at home on Sunday.
Rink scores – Ladies’ singles: Chelsea Spencer won 21-4. Men’s singles: Stephen Harris won 21-6. Pairs: Annie Dunham and Martin Spencer won 16-12. Triples: Ruby Hill, Graham Smith and Jordan Philpott won 20-9. Fours: Jean Patterson, Karen Martin, Ean Morton and Tristan Morton won 18-12.
