A new football season kicks-off on Saturday, with Holbeach United and Pinchbeck United both in friendly action.
The Tigers welcome Blackstones to Carter’s Park, 3pm. Admission £3 adults (concessions and children free) ahead of the start of the Eastern Counties League season.
After their reprieve from relegation, the only way is up for Pinchbeck, who welcome Bourne Town to the Glebe Field, Knight Street, 3pm, with spectators invited to ‘pay what you want’ for admission.
Long Sutton Athletic will be playing Step 7 football next season after their promotion to the Premier Division of the Peterborough League was confirmed.
They join neighbours Crowland Town, Moulton Harrox and Whaplode Drove Rovers in the top division, with the latter having avoided the drop after Stamford Belvedere took a voluntary relegation.
Long Sutton Reserves have been promoted to Division Two and new-boys Moulton Chapel take their place in Division Four.
