LETTER: I too was affected by a birdsong

Last week Dennis Ottaway wrote about a blackbird singing at dusk in Hall Place, Spalding.

I too was recently stopped in my tracks by the joyful, exuberant song of a blackbird in a tree.

It echoed around the square and was almost unearthly in its intensity, making me yearn for the countryside.

So pleased I was not the only one so affected by a birdsong!
