LETTERS – Wonderful choir

Dear residents of Spalding and district, we have now had five wonderful sessions of the Spalding Community Choir led by the enthusiastic, talented and amusing Zeph Churchill.

We meet at the Methodist Church, Broad Street, Spalding every Saturday from 2pm until 4pm (with a social break for tea/coffee).

There are usually 50/60 singers – men and women, young and old – you don’t need to read music – all abilities are welcome.

Our repertoire is growing quickly and includes Amazing Grace (not to the tune you know), ABBA’s ‘I Have A Dream’, ‘Fix You’ by Coldplay and ‘You Are Not Alone’ from Emeli Sande’s newly released album.

Perhaps my 14-year-old granddaughter will think I’m cool when she hears me singing these songs!

So if you enjoy singing, no matter what your ability is (Zeph rightly says ‘everyone can sing’), and you are looking to join a friendly, social group, I recommend you come along to the next Saturday session.

It doesn’t matter if you have missed a few weeks, you will quickly catch up.
