Pupils Recycle with Michael

Pupils at South View School in Crowland have had a phenomenal response to the Recycle with Michael initiative, collecting unwanted clothes and shoes for the Salvation Army.

Upon collection of the bags by a representative of the scheme, the school was bursting at the seams with donations.

The clothes are sent to the charity, whereby they will be weighed and counted.

Half the profits from the donations go to The Salvation Army to aid their charitable works and half will come back to the school.

Pupil Bayleigh-Rose (8) said: “The bags were so heavy, I could hardly lift them!”

Teacher Miss Hannah Brunt added: “To see the bags of donations has filled me with great pride in our children and their families. We will definitely be supporting them again, through the Recycle with Michael, later in the year.”
