Two seriously injured as Air Ambulance called to Long Sutton RTC

Two males have been seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Long Sutton this morning.

A car and a van were involved in the incident which took place on Gedney Road, shortly after 6am this morning.

Lincolnshire Police say both drivers have “serious” injuries after the collision which led to a number of roads in the area being closed.

The driver of the car was taken to Addebrooke Hospital in Cambridge by the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

The van driver was driven to King’s Lynn Hospital.

A police spokesman, said: “We received a call at 6.07am today (September 19) reporting a two-vehicle RTC on Gedney Road, Long Sutton.

“It involved a car and a van.

“The driver of the van was taken to hospital in King’s Lynn with serious injuries.

“The car driver was taken by ambucopter to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, also with serious injuries.

“Anyone who saw this collision should call 101, quoting Incident 43 of 19 September.”
