Steve Borrett took the honours at the latest Sunday Tydd Gote Angling Club match on the North Level at Main Road with a 9lb 3oz total that included a 3lb-plus bream.
Borrett was on peg 28 and had the bream after ten minutes to feeder and worm hookbait across before switching to his pole line for a pinkie-caught mixed bag of roach and perch to make up his winning net.
Pete Emery was on peg 22 and had a lovely net of quality roach to pinkie for his runner’s up weight of 6lb 12oz plus two pike of a pound or so each that didn’t count.
Andrew Kilby was third from peg 29 with another roach net of 6lb 11oz also on pinkie with Nigel Claridge fourth from end peg 35 with a hemp caught roach weight of 4lb 3oz.
After 12 rounds of the Summer League, Andrew Kilby leads the way with 141 points closely followed by Archie Greenwood on 130 and Steve Borrett on 104, with Dennis Houghton (98) and Pete Emery (93) in hot pursuit.
