South Holland trio impress on Crash for Cancer day at Adrian Flux Arena

A handful of South Holland racers made their mark as King’s Lynn’s Adrian Flux Arena basked in glorious weather on Bank Holiday Monday to witness the annual Crash for Cancer day.

The yearly charity event was aimed at raising money for ‘The Big C’ once again – a Norfolk-based charity helping people affected by cancer.

It was a brilliant and entertaining day of action, with the excellent big van bangers threatening to steal the show if the fan reaction was anything to go by.

The massive crowd enjoyed the racing tremendously and it is hoped that a lot of money has been raised for such a worthy cause.

One of the highlights of the day saw Spalding-based banger racing legend Mick Ivatt make his hotly anticipated annual appearance in the big vans.

Unfortunately, mechanical gremlins seemed to keep him from getting up to speed, but he still got involved in the action and took home a well wrecked van.

Fellow Spalding racer Ross Coleman brought along an Old Leyland EA van that also went home thoroughly wrecked, falling to pieces as you would expect from the heavily rotten van.

Also on the line-up were the 2Litre bangers. Crowland-based Callum White was in his usual spirits, wrecking and hitting anything that he could on the day which saw his team well involved in the Norfolk Teams competition.

White is now rated as one of the top banger racers in East Anglia and is considered a joy to watch.

Next up at the Flux is the BriSCA F1 pre-world final showdown with almost 80 of the big Chevy V8 beasts booked in.

It’s likely to be full contact racing at its finest, loudest and most colourful – and with those sort of numbers, it’s going to be a big night of action.

The excellent BriSCA F2’s complete the line-up, ensuring that it’ll be a night not to miss.

Full event details can be found at www.stockcar-racing.co.uk – please check before travelling for race day updates.

Family tickets are available, with kids up to the age of 11 years old allowed into the event for free.

There is also a free kids fun fair ride and free face painting.
