Family’s stroke donation

A Lutton man has honoured the memory of his father by raising hundreds of pounds for stroke patients at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn.

Richard Morris asked for friends and family to donate money to the West Raynham ward instead of buying presents for his 50th birthday party, which was held at the Jolly Crispin in Lutton.

Mr Morris and his wife Wendy presented the £214 cheque to nurses Beth Anscombe and Hailey Muller on behalf of West Raynham Ward, which is one of the best stroke units in the country.

Mr Morris said: “My father Ted had suffered a stroke several years ago and was treated on the ward so we wanted to give something back.

“We were really pleased with the amount raised and would like to thank everyone who contributed.”
