Appeal after boy (12) is threatened and had bike stolen

A 12-year-old was verbally threatened and had his bike stolen in Spalding.

Lincolnshire Police has issued an appeal for more information on the incident which took place in an alleyway between Spalding High Street and Holland Road at 3.23pm on Wednesday June 12.

A statement from the police says: “We are appealing for information on a bike theft.

“At 3.23pm on June 12 a 12-year-old boy was walking down an alleyway between Spalding High Street and Holland Road when he was approached by a man. The man made verbal threats to boy before making off with his Carrera Hell Cat junior Mountain Bike in red, with orange writing.

“The suspect has been described as around 17 years of age, of a slim build, 5ft 10inc in height. He was wearing a black hoody and possibly puffa jacket.

“If you have seen the bike or can assist with our investigation please call 101, incident number 271 of June 12.”
