Ten-man Pinchbeck edged to a one-wicket victory at Boston 3rd in South Lincs and Border League Division One on Saturday to move away from the bottom two.
Bowling first, Pinchbeck did their job to perfection by dismissing their hosts for 128 in 35.3 overs.
Kevin Manning (27) and William Lakin (36) scored well at the top of the innings, but Ian Morris (13) was the only other player to make double figures.
Andrew Beeston was the star of the show for Pinchbeck, taking five wickets for just 31 runs in his nine-over spell.
James Langford (3-29) also impressed, while Jamie Frost (1-21) was the other wicket-taker.
In their reply, Pinchbeck lost openers Mark Ramsden (10) and Mike Knight (12) cheaply, but number three Lee Eyett (62) played a pivotal innings to steer them towards victory.
Danny Jackson, Rob Callaby and Glen Hammond were all out for ducks, but a 15 from Frost and Andrew Beeston’s unbeaten eight helped get Pinchbeck to 129-8 in the 44th over.
Also victorious in Division One were Spalding Town 2nd, who crushed hosts Claypole by 131 runs.
Chris Dring (74), Tom Wilson (58 not out), Ollie Dring (48) and Jay White (39 not out) all scored heavily as Town racked up 265-6 in 45 overs.
In reply, Jamie Juckes (6-62) steamrollered his way through the Claypole batting order. Although openers Alex Ireland (41) and James King (48) scored well, Claypole were soon all out for 134 in 23.3 overs with Jonah Gill (1-5) and Jack Sawyer (2-8) taking the other wickets.
In Division Two, Spalding 3rd (265-5) lost by six wickets against Uffington (266-4) at the Memorial Field.
James Laud (66 not out), Carl Andrews (62) and Nigel Gardner (45) were the big scorers in Spalding’s innings, while a whopping 149 not out from Ivan Wilson steered Uffington to victory despite figures of 2-40 from Macey Andrews.
