I welcome the decision to include a sauna in Spalding’s new leisure centre.
I’d like to commend the work of South Holland district councillors, in particular Coun Gary Taylor and council leader Nick Worth for their efforts on this.
I’ve been contacted by numerous constituents about the need for a sauna in the new facility, and am glad that common sense has prevailed.
I’ve been pressing the council to include a sauna for some time, as it is crucial that the new facility must match the leisure opportunities at other nearby sports and leisure centres, in order for it to be both warmly welcomed and widely used by residents.
