Five new UCL rivals for Holbeach United and Pinchbeck United next season

South Holland duo Pinchbeck United and Holbeach United will have five new rivals in the Future Lions UCL Premier Division.

Three Leicestershire-based sides – Quorn, Shepshed Dynamo and Loughborough University – have moved sideways from the Total Motion Midland League Premier Division, while both Anstey Nomads and Lutterworth Town have been promoted from UCL Division One.

The five teams leaving the division are promoted champions Daventry Town and relegated duo Whitworth and Kirby Muxloe, as well as Eynesbury Rovers and Newport Pagnell Town, who move sideways to the Spartan South Midlands League.

Meanwhile, both the Tigers and Knights held their end of season awards nights on Saturday.

For Holbeach, Joe Braithwaite claimed the coveted players’ player of the year prize, while Spencer Tinkler won Danny Hussey’s managers’ player of the season gong.

Young player of the year was Jonny Lockie, supporters’ player of the season was Jonny Clay and Josh Ford bagged the top scorer award.

The chairman/social title went to Will Bird, while Adam Jackson picked up the clubman prize.

As for Pinchbeck, midfielder Chris Shipley earned the players’ player of the year accolade, with Ollie Maltby both player/boss Ian Dunn’s managers’ player and the top scorer.

Keeper Ricky Lovelace walked off with the supporters’ player, while Tim Coomes took the clubman award.
