Charity ball raises money and smiles

An Irish Ball organised as a charity birthday bash has smashed its target for a cancer charity by raising more than £5,500.

“We did it, smashed my target,” said organiser and birthday girl, Elaine Allen from Spalding.
Elaine, who is celebrating her ninth year in remission from cancer, marked her 50th birthday with the ball.

“Thanks to all of you that were part of my birthday ball and helped raised so much for Macmillan Cancer Support.

“Thanks also to all my European work colleagues and local businesses who sponsored tables, gave prizes and contributed online: Kate Ball Photography, Taylors Bulbs, Crown Affair Hair & Beauty, Chequers of Weston, Holbeach Mc Tyres, Tracey’s Fun & Fitness, Flavia Laser, Slimming & Beauty Clinic, Salon Alchemy, Bennett Butchers, Fab New You, Unique Computer Training, Hills Department Store, Hills Furniture Store, Solas School of
Irish Dancing, Crowland Cranes, NetSupport and Pure Beauty.”
