Popular Spalding racer Kirt Powell is looking for sponsorship ahead of his third season in the Thundersport GB championship.
Powell, who finished third in the series on his Kawasaki ZX10R 2011 last year despite missing the first two rounds, is bidding to improve on that this time around.
His dream is to win the championship and work his way up to the British Superbikes scene – something that would have made his late dad Gary Powell, who died while on his bike in 2007, very proud.
As race seasons can put a huge financial strain on riders, Powell and his team are asking if any local businesses or people are interested in helping them with funding by way of sponsorship.
Sponsorship packages include free tickets to all race event and for your business to be displayed on the bike.
Kirt’s sister Demi Powell, who is part of his team, said: “Kirt is very passionate about racing, the adrenaline thrill and rewards he gets from his racing pushing him to do more and want to achieve more.
“Funding is a highly appreciated gesture that means a lot to Kirt and his dream.
“As a lot of people know, we lost our dad to motorbike racing in 2007 – so this is a man following another man’s dream.
“My dad would be extremely proud of Kirt, as are all his family and friends and his sponsors.
“So please – if anybody is willing to help or wanting to sponsor Kirt Powell racing please get in contact.”
Last season, Powell was sponsored by S&A Electrical, Bill Williams Building Services, Manic Motorcycles, Rick Boland Roofing and South Lincs Glass Shop.
