The final fundraising event in the name of the Anglia Motel Veterans’ Fund was a £2,500 success.

Superb weather lured thousands of people to Hunstanton over the weekend as Fleet motel owner Harold Payne’s efforts were rewarded.
A large display of military vehicles on The Green was supported on Sunday with a flypast by a Dakota and 50,000 poppies dropped into the sea – one for each life lost in the D-Day Landings.

Mr Payne will now be able to present £11,000 to the Royal Anglian Benovolent Fund at the military weekend and vintage rally at the motel on Saturday and Sunday, July 5 and 6.
