Holbeach United won’t be taking anything for granted against struggling Whitworth

Boss Danny Hussey has warned his Holbeach not to take basement side Wellingborough Whitworth lightly at Carter’s Park on Saturday (3pm).

Fourth-placed Holbeach will be without keeper Ricky Drury for the Future Lions UCL Premier Division clash and have been told to approach the game like any other.

Hussey said: “I’ve been down the bottom of the table during my time with Spalding. You have to battle for everything – and that’s what they’ll do on Saturday.

“If they get a sniff that we’re not up for it, they’ll make life very difficult.

“The lads will be under no illusions about what I expect from them.”

Holbeach go into the game on a run of five league wins on the spin, having won 2-1 at Eynesbury Rovers on Tuesday night.

Whitworth have won just two of their 25 league games so far this season and have a goal difference of -86.
