New Holbeach United boss Danny Hussey admits that his charges will have to be at their best to keep their impressive Future Lions UCL Premier Division form going this Saturday.
The Tigers, who have won all three of their league matches since Seb Hayes resigned as boss, make the trip to seventh-placed Eynesbury Rovers (3pm).
The teams met as recently as December 22, with Rovers 2-0 winners on that occasion.
Although Holbeach are fourth in the table, some six points clear of Saturday’s opposition, Hussey reckons both sides will have similar aims this season.
He said: “We’re obviously going there to win the game. But it’s one of those games where you have to admit that a draw would be a good result.
“To take ten points out of our last 12 would be great, but to get 12 would be a real bonus.
“They are a side looking to finish as high as they can, much like us. So beating them would go a long way to making sure we finish above them.”
Last week saw Hussey appoint former Peterborough Northern Star and Ketton boss Rob Ward as his number two.
The boss feels like he’s now settled in his role and is looking at strengthening the squad too.
“I feel that I’ve settled into the job nicely now and I’m happy with the players we have here.
“Having Rob on board is a real boost. I trust him and it’ll help me do my job properly.
“We’re a bit short on numbers but also have a budget, so I’m looking into the loan market and seeing what is available.”
Holbeach are without the suspended Jay Whyatt and the unavailable Jamie Stevens on Saturday.
