A woman remains ‘seriously ill’ in hospital four months after a collision between Crowland and Shepseau Stow
Now Lincolnshire Police has appealed for anyone who might have more information on the incident at Patchett’s Bridge on Hulls Drove.
They would particularly like to speak to the driver of at least one vehicle whom investigators believe the woman had overtaken.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, April 7 and involved was reported at the time as involving just the one vehicle, a red Ford Kuga.
Three people were injured in the incident, two of them seriously.
One of those remains in hospital.
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police, said: “The lead investigator for a collision on Hulls Drove, Crowland is asking for help as the investigation progresses.
“The driver of the Kuga remains seriously ill in hospital and so far we have not been able to speak to her.
“Inquiries so far have led detectives to establish the driver of the Kuga has overtaken at least one vehicle as she drove towards the bridge.”
Detective sergeant James Perring is appealing for any other drivers who may have been overtaken by the Ford Kuga to get in touch.
He said: “We are working hard to understand what has happened prior to the collision. Our inquiries include detailed forensic work and speaking to as many people as we can to establish the cause of the collision, and this work is ongoing.”
“I’d really like to speak to anyone who travelled along Hulls Drove in the few minutes before the collision, which happened just before 6.30am on Tuesday April 7.
“Anyone who did travel along the road and hasn’t contacted us already is asked to get in touch.”
