Special achievement win for Gosberton House school choir

A cash award has been delivered to a school choir who got a Special Achievement nod at the recent School Choir Competition.

Coun Jan Whitbourn visited Gosberton House School this week to hand over the award, which will be put towards buying the school a microphone.

The school’s choir teacher, Amy Machin, said: “We are very proud of our school choir and their special achievement this year.

“It is lovely to be part of such a wonderful event and hear the talents and enthusiasm of the other choirs.

“We look forward to attending again next year.”

Amy thanked organisers for the donation and said the school was overwhelmed by the generosity of the sponsors.
