Injury crisis threatens Pinchbeck United’s bid to go a calendar year unbeaten in UCL

Pinchbeck United are walking wounded for this Saturday’s Future Lions UCL Premier Division trip to ON Chenecks (3pm).

The Knights are without the injured Ash Murrell until Christmas, while Andrew Tidswell and Jordan Nuttell both picked up knocks in the 3-3 draw with Desborough Town on Saturday.

Key left-sider Tyler Wright has also suffered a broken wrist, meaning he’s facing up to eight weeks on the sidelines.

Dunn has added defender Harry Peasgood on loan from Stamford however, while he has put in a seven-day approach for Holbeach United defender Stacy Cartwright.

The player/boss added: “We’re still not at 100 per cent. Last season it took us until October time to find our best team.

“We’re searching for the best blend and set-up, but to be unbeaten in the league so far is a decent start.

“The injuries and suspensions are a problem, so we’ll look to bring a few in if we possibly can.

“We’re looking for players with experience at this level now. That’s what we need if we want to stay at the top end of the table.”

Should Pinchbeck avoid defeat at Old Northamptonians Sports Ground, they will have completed a calendar year unbeaten in the UCL fixtures.
