Man dies in A16 collision between motorcycle and HGV

A 48-year-old man has died following a collision on the A16 this morning, police said.

The A16 at Crowland remains closed and police are appealing for witnesses after the death of the motorcyclist.

A police statement said: “Emergency services were called to the scene of a two vehicle RTC about 8am this morning.

“An HGV and a black motorcycle are involved.

“The road will be closed for the next few hours.

“Anyone who saw the collision or either vehicles travelling on the A16 at Crowland around 8am this morning is asked to contact the Investigating Officer.

“We are also appealing for anyone who may have dash cam of the vehicles or the collision to get in touch.”

The man’s next of kin have been informed.
