Holbeach air cadet Helen flies into camp

A Holbeach air cadet has marched into a prestigious national camp.

Cadet Sergeant Helen Savory (17) was one of a just 300 invited to Beckingham training camp for the RAF Air Cadets Drill and Ceremonial Camp.

There she learned and took part in drill displays usually saved for the professionals such as the famous RAF display team.

Helen said: “I’ve always enjoyed drill and asked to be put forward for the camp.

“It was a brilliant experience.”

Her commanding officer of the Holbeach squadron, Keith Bate, said: “It’s hugely prestigious for anyone to be invited to the camp.

“The displays they took part in were fantastic.”
