Friends brave the shave in South holland

Two South Holland women have braved the shave and lost their locks for a good cause.

Georgina Harrison and Jennie Thomas pledged to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support by having their heads shaved.

The clippers were wielded on Saturday and both women are sporting a new look.

Georgina was diagnosed with a rare tumour after a routine eye test at Spalding’s Molsom Associates earlier this year.

She received proton beam therapy in Liverpool for her ocular melanoma after a problem was spotted during the test.

The former nurse, now working for the ambulance service, had no idea she had a tumour and thought she just needed new glasses.

Her friend Jennie Thomas had a recent series of tests for cancer, which were clear.

Both women are aiming to raise £500 for their efforts and more details can be found under their names at the website: bravetheshave.macmillan.org.uk
